What: First Swing Rhode Island's (www.firstswingri.org) 7th annual First Swing Seminar

The First Swing Seminar is for Rehabilitation, Golf, and Recreational Professionals who are interested in learning to teach adapted golf techniques to physically and mentally challenged individuals. This program encourages the inclusion of golf as an excellent recreational and rehabilitation medium for Hospitals, Long Term Care Facilities, Park/Recreation Departments, etc. First Swing will cover the descriptions of grip, stance/balance, and swing.

Professionals will also practice with adapted golf equipment and wheelchair techniques. First Swing Participants will instruct physically and mentally challenged individuals on the second portion of the day during the Learn to Golf phase of the program.

When: Saturday, September 8th, 2007, 8am to 12pm

The First Swing Learn to Golf Clinic provides one-on-one instruction for individuals with physical and mental challenges from Rehabilitation, Golf, and Recreational Professionals!

This free program is devoted to every physically and mentally challenged individual regardless of age, handicap, or golf experience. Children may begin by using a putter, excellent training for use in a game of miniature golf with friends. Join
other individuals from the community for the hands-on clinic. Bring a friend, family member, colleague, your clubs, and come and join us!

When: Saturday, September 8th, 2007, 1pm to 5pm
